Below is a little historical information about Mother's Day. The photo shows Julia Ward Howe, the North American founder (1870s) of what we recognize as Mother's Day in the United States.
Ms. Howe is also the author of the Battle Hymn of the Republic.
Early Origins of Mother's Day: One of the earliest historical records of a society celebrating a Mother deity can be found among the ancient Egyptians, who held an annual festival to honor the goddess Isis, who was commonly regarded as the Mother of the pharaohs.
